O objetivo deste estudo é demonstrar de que maneira a telerradiologia influencia na elaboração de laudos radiológicos na Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB). A metodologia incluiu uma revisão bibliográfica sobre telerradiologia, aplicação de questionários a oficiais médicos radiologistas da FAB, e análise de dados da Subdivisão de Radiologia e Diagnóstico por Imagem do Hospital de Força Aérea de Brasília (HFAB) de janeiro a junho de 2022. Os resultados mostraram que a maioria dos especialistas concorda que a telerradiologia reduz o tempo de resposta entre a realização do exame e a liberação do laudo, reduz custos, aumenta a produtividade e facilita o acesso a outros especialistas, eliminando barreiras geográficas. A implementação eficaz da telerradiologia requer a utilização de PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) integrado com demais sistemas hospitalares. As limitações incluem a necessidade de infraestrutura adequada, como internet de alta velocidade, estações de trabalho remotas, e sistemas de visualização de imagens DICOM. Os dados documentais do HFAB mostraram que 704 exames de urgência foram avaliados por telerradiologia, com uma mediana de tempo de liberação do laudo de 58 minutos. A pesquisa confirmou que a telerradiologia facilita o acesso a especialistas, agiliza a elaboração de laudos, otimiza recursos e melhora a precisão e qualidade dos laudos radiológicos. Conclui-se que a telerradiologia é uma ferramenta valiosa para a FAB, proporcionando benefícios significativos em termos de eficiência, economia de recursos e qualidade do atendimento aos usuários do Sistema de Saúde da Aeronáutica (SISAU), com recomendação de implementação de um sistema PACS robusto para maximizar esses benefícios. The objective of this study is to demonstrate how teleradiology influences the preparation of
radiological reports in the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). The methodology included a
bibliographic review on teleradiology, the application of questionnaires to FAB medical
radiologist officers, and data analysis from the Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Subdivision
of the Brasília Air Force Hospital (HFAB) from January to June 2022. The results showed that
most specialists agree that teleradiology reduces the response time between the examination
and the release of the report, reduces costs, increases productivity, and facilitates access to
other specialists, eliminating geographical barriers. Effective implementation of teleradiology
requires the use of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) integrated with other
hospital systems. Limitations include the need for adequate infrastructure, such as high-speed internet, remote workstations, and DICOM image viewing systems. Documentary data from HFAB showed that 704 emergency exams were evaluated by teleradiology, with a median
report release time of 58 minutes. The research confirmed that teleradiology facilitates access
to specialists, speeds up the preparation of reports, optimizes resources, and improves the
accuracy and quality of radiological reports. It is concluded that teleradiology is a valuable
tool for FAB, providing significant benefits in terms of efficiency, resource economy, and the
quality of care provided to users of the Aeronautics Health System (SISAU), with a
