Este trabalho buscou identificar a pertinência do uso do EAD na rotina de treinamentos dos
Grupos de Segurança e Defesa da FAB, motivado pelas dificuldades observadas e vivenciadas
na execução dos planejamentos de treinamento da tropa de infantaria. Dessa forma, o objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar as influências da implantação do EAD no Subprograma de Manutenção Operacional (SPMO) dos Grupos de Segurança e Defesa, considerando os principais aspectos da iniciativa. A construção desta análise teve como base a Teoria da Espiral de Conhecimento em conjunto com os pressupostos de Treinamento e Desenvolvimento (T&D) ambientados nas tecnologias educacionais atuais. A metodologia escolhida envolveu pesquisa bibliográfica e documental com ênfase na estratificação da carga horária das capacitações e nas principais características do preparo da tropa. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que há amparo teórico e regulamentar na implantação do EAD no SPMO, dentro do processo de modernização do ensino na FAB que está em fase de amadurecimento. Indicaram também a complexidade do cumprimento e coordenação das atividades de manutenção operacional de forma estritamente presencial, bem como as oportunidades que a flexibilização dos treinamentos por EAD poderia promover. Concluiu-se que no contexto da modernização do ensino pretendida pela FAB há espaço para prospecção de conteúdos EAD voltados para Segurança e Defesa, visto os potenciais benefícios que a modalidade possibilita ao preparo da tropa, além da necessidade de se adaptar a uma geração que aprende de forma diferente. This work sought to identify the relevance of using Distance Learning (DL) in the routine
training of the Security and Defense Groups of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). The motivation
for this research stemmed from the difficulties observed and experienced in the execution of the infantry troop training plans. The objective of this research was to analyze the influences of implementing DL in the Operational Maintenance Subprogram (SPMO) of the Security and
Defense Groups, considering the main aspects of the initiative. The construction of this analysis is based on the Theory of Knowledge Spiral combined with the assumptions of Training and Development (T&D) within the current educational technologies. The chosen methodology involved bibliographic and documentary research with an emphasis on the stratification of training hours and the main characteristics of troop preparation. The results obtained indicated that there is theoretical and regulatory support for the implementation of DL in the SPMO, within the process of modernizing education in the FAB which is in progress. They also indicated the complexity of fulfilling and coordinating operational maintenance activities, as well as the opportunities that the flexibility of DL training could promote. It was concluded that in the context of the education modernization intended by the FAB, there is room for the prospecting of DL content aimed at Security and Defense, given the benefits that this modality provides to troop preparation and the need to adapt to a generation that learns differently.
