Este artigo teve como objetivo entender os efeitos estratégicos significativos do AUKUS e o que ele significou para a região do Indo-Pacífico. O estudo concentrou-se nas nações envolvidas no acordo, bem como nas regiões do Indo-Pacífico e sua perspectiva sobre os efeitos estratégicos do Acordo AUKUS. A pesquisa qualitativa foi realizada a fim de compreender os complexos e diferentes interesses e reações ao advento do acordo AUKUS. Fontes de notícias, instituições acadêmicas e institutos de pesquisa de várias nações foram usadas para pesquisar quais efeitos ocorreram. Os resultados da pesquisa foram discutidos individualmente por nação ou grupo de nações. Os resultados concluíram que o Acordo AUKUS teve efeitos diferentes para a região. Alguns dos países tradicionalmente adversários da China apoiaram o acordo. Outras nações, como as da comunidade da ASEAN e a Índia, tiveram reações mistas, desde pontos de vista neutros até aqueles que se opõem abertamente ao acordo de segurança. Abstract: This paper aimed to understand the significant strategic effects of AUKUS and what it has meant to the Indo-Pacific region. The study was focused on the nations involved in the agreement as well as those in the Indo-pacific regions and their perspective on the strategic effects of theAUKUS Agreement. Qualitative research was conducted in order to understand the complex and differing interests and reactions to the advent of the AUKUS agreement. Sources from news, academicand think-tank institutions from a variety of nations were used to survey what effects have taken place. The results of the research were discussed individually by nation or group of nations. The results concluded that the AUKUS Agreement has had differing effects for the region. Some of the traditionally adversarial to China nations have supported the agreement. Other nations such as those of the ASEAN community and India have had mixed reactions from neutral standpoints to those that openly oppose the security agreement. Many of the detractors of the agreement have cited the possibility of an arms race and nuclear proliferation as their points on contention.
