Abstract: The objective of this study was to examine the influence of physical fitness on the
operational performance of fighter pilots. The assessment of physical fitness was based
on the database of the Air Force Sports Commission (CDA), considering the results of
the Physical Fitness Aptitude Test (TACF) conducted in 2022. Operational performance
was measured using a validated questionnaire called the Work Ability Index (ICT),
considering only the period during the TÍNIA 2022 Operational Exercise. Analyzing the
obtained results, it was observed that all participants were deemed fit in the TACF, with
the following distribution: only 01 (4%) of the military personnel achieved an excellent
rating, 08 (32%) were rated as satisfactory, 10 (40%) fell into the good category, 04
(16%) were considered very good, and 02 (8%) were within the tolerance zone. As for
the ICT questionnaire results, it was found that no military personnel had a low ICT
score; 11 (44%) had a moderate ICT score, 9 (36%) had a good ICT score, and 05 (20%)
had an excellent ICT score. To achieve the intended objective, the Spearman correlation
coefficient (r) was applied to the individual variables of the final TACF score and ICT. A
correlation value of +0.52 was found, leading to the conclusion that there is a positive
moderate influence, indicating that higher levels of physical fitness lead to better
performance of fighter pilots during operational missions. Ver menos
