As ocorrências de grandes catástrofes neste início de século aumentaram a demanda por operações de ajuda humanitária e propiciaram novos estudos na área de Logística, inaugurando uma subárea, a Logística Humanitária. Em face disso, no Brasil e no mundo, as Forças Armadas têm sido chamadas a atuar por meio de missões humanitárias, em áreas atingidas por desastres ambientais, crises migratórias e, mais recentemente, na pandemia do novo coronavírus, o SARS-COV-2. Abstract: The occurrence of major catastrophes at the beginning of this century increased the demand for operations of humanitarian aid and provided new studies in the logistics area, inaugurating a sub-area, the Humanitarian Logistics.
