Este trabalho tem por objetivo identificar as contribuições da Base Industrial de Defesa (BID) para que as atribuições elencadas na Política Nacional de Defesa (PND) na área espacial projetem o Poder Nacional na corrente década. Para isso, identificou-se as atribuições elencadas na PND para essa projeção, quais destas atribuições projetaram o Poder Nacional na última década, e, das que cumpriram este propósito, tiveram a contribuição da BID. Para tanto, a pesquisa consistiu em uma pesquisa bibliográfica a fim de se buscar o conhecimento necessário na área espacial. Fez-se também uma pesquisa documental para verificar o desempenho da BID relacionado com a contribuição na área espacial. Os resultados obtidos foram submetidos a um processo de validação de caráter qualitativo por meio de comparação com a Teoria Estratégica para o Século XXI, de Yarger, e a Teoria da Tríplice Hélice, proposta por Etzkowitz e Leydesdorff. Da análise dos dados levantados, verificou-se que, das atribuições elencadas na PND, houve projeção de Poder Nacional com a operação de plataforma geoestacionária de telecomunicações e de sensoriamento remoto radar, e, valendo-se da contribuição da BID, com a construção e operação de plataformas espaciais de observação da Terra por sensoriamento óptico. Por fim, conclui-se que as perspectivas para a corrente década de desenvolvimento de um veículo lançador estão incertas diante do pedido de recuperação judicial protocolado pela contratada para fornecimento dos motores foguetes, e que a capacidade da indústria nacional em colaborar com o domínio completo do ciclo de desenvolvimento de plataformas espaciais sustentam expectativas otimistas Ver menos

Abstract: This work aims to identify the Defense Industrial Base (DIB)'s contributions so the attributions enumerated in the National Defense Policy (NDP) in the space area project the National Power in the current decade. For this, it was identified the attributions listed in the NPD for this projection, which of these attributions projected the National Power in the last decade, and, of those that fulfilled this purpose, had the DIB's contribution. Therefore, the investigation consisted of bibliographical research in order to seek the necessary knowledge in the space area. Documentary research was also carried out to verify the DIB's performance related to the contribution in the space area. The results obtained were submitted to a qualitative validation process by comparing with the Strategic Theory for the 21st Century, of Yarger, and the Triple Helix Theory, proposed by Etzkowitz and Leydesdorff. From the analysis of the data collected, it was verified that, from the attributions listed in the NDP, there was projection of National Power with the geostationary telecommunications platform and remote sensing radar operation, and, using the DIB's contribution, with the spatial platforms construction and operation for Earth observation by optical sensing. Finally, it's concluded that the prospects for the current decade of development of a launch vehicle are uncertain in the face of the request for judicial recovery filed by the contracted for the supply of rocket engines, and that the national industry ability to collaborate with the complete domain of the space platform development cycle supports optimistic expectations Ver menos
