Este trabalho analisou a influência do papel da política de defesa atual, como ação governamental, na proposição do desenvolvimento e manutenção da Base Industrial de Defesa, incluindo sua relação com os gastos governamentais, política de aquisição e política industrial de defesa, especificamente no ramo aeronáutico, trazendo a campo um painel comparativo dos Estados brasileiro e francês no relacionamento com as empresas líderes no segmento, Embraer e Dassault Aviation, respectivamente. Tal abordagem se impõe diante das restritas pesquisas no que tange a aquisição governamental como fator preponderante para a manutenção e desenvolvimento da BID. O propósito deste estudo foi analisar a influência da relação estatal disposta. Este intento foi conseguido mediante revisão bibliográfica na forma de uma abordagem qualitativa, de caráter descritivo. A pesquisa evidenciou o papel decisivo do Estado na manutenção e desenvolvimento da BID, principalmente no que concerne à política industrial por meio das aquisições governamentais e consequente expressão de soberania da nação Ver menos

Abstract: This work analyzed the influence of the role of the current defense policy, as a government action, in the proposition of the development and maintenance of the Defense Industrial Base, including its relationship with government spending, acquisition policy and industrial defense policy, specifically in the aeronautical field. , bringing to the field a comparative panel of the Brazilian and French states in the relationship with the leading companies in the segment, Embraer and Dassault Aviation, respectively.
