Um importante papel das Forças Armadas (FA) brasileiras foi, e sempre será a integração com a sociedade. Assim, as FA têm exercido atividades tanto em prol da manutenção da Soberania Nacional, quanto em benefício direto do desenvolvimento do País. Neste aspecto destaca-se o trabalho da Força Aérea Brasileira em apoio aos Pelotões Especiais de Fronteira (PEF), organizações do Exército Brasileiro localizadas na Região Amazônica. Dada toda a sua riqueza hídrica, botânica e mineral, bem como o fato de compor 59% do território nacional, com 11.300km de fronteiras, a defesa desta região faz parte dos princípios basilares da Política Nacional de Defesa (PND). Para que o referido apoio possa ocorrer de maneira satisfatória, é imperativo que a Infraestrutura Aeroespacial necessária para o suporte aos PEF e a outras localidades amazônicas ofereça condições que não limitem as operações aéreas desenvolvidas. Neste contexto, o principal propósito dessa pesquisa é analisar os fatores limitantes à operacionalidade da Aviação de Transporte no apoio logístico aos PEF, sob o enfoque da PND. Para tal, esta pesquisa apresenta-se numa abordagem qualitativa, com o método de Estudo de Caso, utilizando o 1°/9°GAv durante as operações de apoio aos PEF, como objeto. Na sequência das análises realizadas, apresentam-se as ocorrências aeronáuticas com os C-105 do 1°/9° GAv, registradas no período correspondente à pesquisa, entre 2007 e 2018, sendo um total de 26. Destas, onze (42%) aconteceram nos PEF que foram o objeto deste estudo. Evidencia-se que, nos PEF delimitados, transcorreram 100% das ocorrências mais graves (três acidentes). Do total das onze ocorrências havidas nos PEF delimitados, observou-se que quatro tiveram a contribuição da Infraestrutura Aeroespacial no desfecho da situação. Das análises efetuadas, constatou-se que a Infraestrutura Aeroespacial existente na Região Amazônica, de forma geral, oferece condições satisfatórias para as operações aéreas de apoio logístico aos PEF. A pesquisa demonstrou, também, que a Infraestrutura Aeroespacial é fator básico para um maior e mais bem-sucedido aproveitamento dos meios aéreos da Aviação de Transporte em prol de um apoio mais efetivo aos Pelotões Especiais de Fronteira da Região Amazônica. Abstract: Integration with society is, always was and will be, an important attribution of the Brazilian Armed Forces (AF). Therefore, the AF has been active in maintaining National Sovereignty as well as in direct benefit of the country's development. In this regard, we highlight the Brazilian Air Force work in support of the Border’s Special Platoons (PEF, in Portuguese), Brazilian Army organizations located in the Amazon Region. Given all its water, botanical and mineral wealth, as well as the fact that it makes up 59% of the national territory, with 11,300 km of borders, the defense of this region is part of the basic principles of the National Defense Policy (NDP). In order to make this support to occur satisfactorily, it is imperative that the Aerospace Infrastructures, needed to support PEF and other Amazonian needs, offers conditions good enough for all implicated air operations. In this context, the main purpose of this research is to analyze the limiting factors associated with the Air Force transport operations and the logistic support to PEF, under the scope of the NDP. For this purpose, this research is presented as a qualitative approach, under the Case Study method, using the 1st / 9th GAv during PEF support operations, as the research object. Further to the performed analyzes, we present the aeronautical occurrences with the C-105 fleet in service at the 1st / 9th GAv, recorded in the period corresponding to the survey, between 2007 and 2018, being a total of 26. Of these, eleven (42%) happened in the PEF that were the object of this study. It is evident that 100% of the most serious occurrences (three accidents) occurred in the delimited PEF. From the total of eleven occurrences in the PEF studied, it was observed in four situations that Aerospace Infrastructure factors contributed to the outcome. From the analyzes performed, it was found that the existing Aerospace Infrastructure in the Amazon Region, generally, offers satisfactory conditions for the air operations of logistic support to the PEF. The research has also shown that Aerospace Infrastructure is a key factor for a greater and more successful use of Air Force Transport air assets aiming a more effective support to the Border’s Special Platoons of the Amazon Region Ver menos
