O Centro de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos (CENIPA) é o responsável pela capacitação dos investigadores de acidentes aeronáuticos do Brasil. É de suma importância que esses investigadores possuam competências que lhes permitam identificar os riscos existentes em um sítio de destroços de aeronaves e obter a segurança necessária no tocante à sua integridade física. Foram levantados neste estudo os principais riscos existentes nos sítios de destroços das aeronaves que mais voam no espaço aéreo brasileiro ou que trouxeram lições aprendidas a CENIPA e aos sete SERIPA (Serviço Regional de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos). As competências presentes no curso de investigação ministrado pelo CENIPA foram obtidas, bem como as experiências adquiridas pelos investigadores mais experientes, por meio dos anos de profissão. A principalcontribuição do trabalho foi verificar se as competências dos investigadores que compõem o Sistema de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos (SIPAER) são suficientes para identificar possíveis riscos em um sítio de aeronaves acidentadas de forma a preservar a sua integridade física. Abstract: The Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) is responsible for the training of aeronautical accident investigators in Brazil. It is of the utmost importance that these investigators have the skills to enable them to identify the hazards at the aircraft accident site and ensure their safety with regard to physical integrity. This work studied the main hazards at crash sites of the most flying aircraft in the Brazilian airspace. It also studied other cases from wich CENIPA and the seven SERIPA (Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents) learned considerable lessons. The competences taught in CENIPA’s investigation course were obtained, as well as much of the knowledge of the experienced investigators through the years of profession. The main contribution of the work was to verify if the competences of the investigators that compose the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention System (SIPAER) were sufficient to identify potential hazards at an aircraft accident site in order to preserve their physical integrity.
